Donna, Dwight Daniels was telling me of some venue in or near Nashville that you frequently play. Can you tell me the name. Thanx

Donna Ulisse responded on 04/03/2015

I believe Dwight is talking about a place called Kimbros Cafe in Franklin, TN. Keep an eye on our schedule for when we are playing there. It is posted on my website at www.donnaulisse.com

Thank you so much Patrick! Sorry it took me so long to reply! Between writing songs, recording a new album, rehearsing new music with the band, I am afraid I have let reading my questions and comments slip. I will have to do better! :)

Q

Do you tour in the south Myrtle Beach area?

Donna Ulisse responded on 01/01/2015
A

Hi Ed!
We have played the Ocean Lakes Bluegrass Festival in Myrtle beach twice now. The last time was in Aug. of 2014. So far that is the only place we have played in Myrtle Beach. If you have any other suggestions of venues, please let us know and also, please tell the promoter or venue owner you would like to see us there. That always helps! Thanks so much.
Peace and a very happy new year,
Donna

Q

I have been trying to find your version of "I Want To Grow Old With You"
lyrics and chords without success. Also, I would like to know who wrote the version you are using.
Thank you.

Hello Bill,
Unfortunately we don't have sheet music available on this. I co-wrote the song with a friend who is also a songwriter named Claire Davidson. It is available on my CD "When I Look Back" and was also included in my compilation CD "I Am A Child of God". They are both available on my website store, Amazon, CDBaby, and iTunes also. While I don't have anything with the chords, I know my publisher would be happy to email you a copy of the lyrics if you email her at kanderson(at)hadleymusicgroup.com. Her name is Kathy. Tell her I asked her to email you the lyrics. Thanks! Donna

Donna, we moved back home to Pa. Sandy and I are from the same small town. We missed you at Kimbro's the night you no-showed and had John Martin fill in. We were so disappointed to not get our goodbye hugs. We will find you again and hope to get you booked into NW Pa. in the future.

I'm a little behind on answering questions Bob and Sandy! Hope you are not covered in snow up in PA right now and hopefully we will make it to your neck of the woods in 2015. Right now there is nothing on the books but things are being worked on and added to the schedule all the time. Sorry about the mix-up at Kimbros! Donna

Q

Donna when will you be back in North Carolina again? It would be nice for
you to come to the Dunn Center at North Carolina Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount, NC

Donna Ulisse responded on 11/22/2014
A

I don't know when we will be in North Carolina again. I know we just booked a festival in Petersburg, VA on June 4 next year which is only 1.5 hours from Rocky Mt. so maybe our agent can get us something in NC to go with that! Thanks, Donna

Comment and Question

Love your Song, Send Me The Pillow You Dream On.
I hear it on Bluegrass Junction. What Album is it on? I Plan to be
at one of you Shows Soon. Thanks , Ralph

Donna Ulisse responded on 09/17/2014

Thank you so much Ralph. That song is on my latest album "Showin' My Roots". I put it on the album because I can't recall one family reunion on my mother's side of the family when we did not all sing it over and over. I have been thrilled that radio has embraced my version of it since the song brings back so many special memories.

You can find the album on Amazon.com, CD Baby, my website store (www.donnaulisse.com) or on iTunes. I hope you do make it to one of my shows soon!
Donna

thank you. Feel free to contact my manager Kathy Anderson at kanderson (at) hadleymusicgroup.com with any ideas you might have. She handles that side of my career. I have my hands full writing songs, getting to shows etc! :) Donna

Q

First noticed your work when I was stationed in Germany as I was thumbing through cd's at he PX in Darmstadt, Germany. This was 1994. I was never happier listening to any artist as I was then. I gave that cd away an have regretted doing so. I hope to find what I believe to be your first album. What was your first album and can it be purchased? I can't remember the name of the album, but would recognize its cover.

Donna Ulisse responded on 08/25/2014
A

Well first of all, THANK YOU for your service to our country! Your story about finding my first CD at the PX warmed my heart. The CD was Trouble At The Door on Atlantic Records. Unfortunately, I don't even have any copies and it is out of print. However, from time to time you can come across the on Amazon as used CDs or on EBay so you may want to keep an eye out on there. Sometimes the prices have been amazingly high which always surprises me, but you may get lucky. Take care and good luck finding it! Peace, Donna
